From Asian Journal: FACINE announces its call for entries for the 18th annual filipino american cine festival. Deadline for submission will be on 6:00 p.m., November 4, 2011.
The annual festival showcases new works by Filipino American media artists and Philippine-based filmmakers. The 18th annual cinefest will be held at the San Francisco Main Library, Koret Auditorium on December 17, 2011.
All entries by media artists of Filipino parentage, regardless of genre, subject and style, will be accepted. Entries shall not be more than 120 minutes in length. Non-Filipino filmmakers may however submit works but which subject need to be on Filipino and/or the diaspora.
FACINE is a nonprofit media arts organization that aims to promote and develop Filipino American cinema as well as advance the interests of Philippine-made productions. The festival is co-presented with the Filipino American Center, San Francisco Main Library.
All entries shall be submitted in dvd format to this address:
